This dish is so quick and easy! You probably have all the ingredients in your fridge and pantry. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal. You can even swap out the herbs for something different or for whatever you have on hand. Also, you can add some sautéed chicken, shrimp or scallops on top. Make sure to save some chopped herbs and parmesan cheese for garnish.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz linguine
  • 2 TBS butter
  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 heaping TBS fresh chopped parsley
  • 3 heaping TBS fresh chopped basil
  • 1 large lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  • Step 1 Cook pasta according to package directions (save a cup of the pasta water for use in dish)
  • Step 2 In a large saute pan add the butter, olive oil, garlic and crushed red pepper flakes and cook on low until butter melts and garlic becomes nice and fragrant (be careful not to burn)
  • Step 3 Add the cooked pasta and about 1/4 cup of the pasta water to the butter and olive oil
  • Step 4 Add the chopped herbs, lemon juice, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and toss to combine
  • Step 5 If pasta seems a little dry, add more of the pasta water to moisten then remove from heat
  • Step 6 Garnish with fresh herbs and parmesan cheese
