The Sensual Palate

“Cooking itself is SEXY & SMART.  In the right hands it can inspire & express as much emotion & love as music, dance or poetry.  It can give you JOY, HOPE & LAUGHTER & it can energize your SOUL & spirit.”

So, this is a quote that I read many years ago in an Oprah magazine.  I loved it so much that I had it painted on a wall in my kitchen!  I didn’t even have the “kitchen” yet, but I knew I would eventually so I just tore the page from the magazine and saved it!

I showed the quote to a very good friend of mine and asked her if she could somehow print/frame it for me.  She’s an attorney by day, but an artist at heart.  She said that she would just paint it on my wall!………………. I was like, okay…… very cool!  Even better!!

I picked two of my favorite colors (chocolate-brown and cranberry red) and voila!  This is a friend that I often have “adult” play dates with so it took some time.  She would come over, paint a little………. then we would indulge in some mouth-watering cocktails,  a little tapas and some great laughs (sometimes tears) and conversation.  I have some really great photos capturing those moments.  I’ll have to ask her if I can post a few! 🙂
